There's a Savior

"There’s a Savior" was a last minute addition to the album. Just weeks before hitting the studio the idea came to Amy and she almost dismissed it. However, in a beautiful example of how our stories and lives intertwine to bring God glory, days later her pastor, Jeremy Freeman, preached a sermon that closely reflected these lyrics. God made it clear the song was to be recorded. Initially, Amy heard this song as a ballad but she was thrilled when her producers suggested a different spin. "There’s a Savior" makes space for celebration as saints and sinners are reminded of the rest and comfort found in the Rock of Ages.

There’s a Savior
In His embrace find rest
There is comfort
And a place inside the cleft
Of the Rock of Ages
And He will not change
There’s a Savior
And Jesus is His name

Oh sinner are you weary
Are you tired weak and worn
Do you know the hands that bled for you
Will hold you when you mourn

Come sinner cast your gaze on Him
He will not look away
Behold salvation in His eyes
And mercy on His face

There’s a Savior
In His embrace find rest
There is comfort
And a place inside the cleft
Of the Rock of Ages
And He will not change
There’s a Savior
And Jesus is His name

Oh saint have you forgotten
The blood that made you new
Have you traded in the wealth of grace
For the best that you can do

Come saint back to His table
You’ll find He has not moved
Taste and see that He is good
And His promises are true

There’s a Savior
In His embrace find rest
There is comfort
And a place inside the cleft
Of the Rock of Ages
And He will not change
There’s a Savior
And Jesus is His name
